Shuttleworth has announced the launch of its new chain-driven conveyors, which can maintain product stability at a speed increase of 67% and can reach speeds up to 500FPM.
Shuttleworth senior plastics R&D engineer Klaus Daenzer said the company's conveyor systems could reach up to 300 feet-per-minute earlier.
"We can now achieve the higher speeds, in part, because of improvements we have made in wear and friction engineering, particularly with its effect on plastic components which are critical components to longevity in conveyor operation," Daenzer said.
Shuttleworth conveyors use the latest controls technology of PLCs, motion control devices, servo-motors and variable-speed zoning.
The conveyors provide gentle product handling and precise product placement for use in the food, pharmaceutical, electronics, printing and solar industries in particular.
In order to handle delicate products, they can also be integrated with the company's Slip-Torque low-line backpressure technology.
